FAQ's
Why Choose a Harris Classic Twin Tub
instead of an automatic?
You are in full control of your washing, you are working at the
top of the machine not having to bend down, you need no fixed plumbing
and the wash cycles are short saving time, water, electricity and
money
Does the twin tub heat the water?
You add hot water from your tap using the hose provided, this saves
on the expense of an inbuilt heater.
What type of washing detergent should
I use?
Powder or liquid is best, tablets should not be used.
Is the twin tub suitable for use in an
outbuilding with no tap nearby?
Yes, you can add water any way you like, a bucket for example, as
long as you can plug the twin tub into a power socket it is usable
almost anywhere.
Does the twin tub move around when spinning?
These days twin tubs do not move when spinning, they are also a
lot quieter as well.
How much power do I need to run the twin
tub?
The wash motor uses 360w and the spinner uses 160w, this makes the
twin tub an attractive item for people that get their electricity
from a generator. Boats, campervans and mobile homes all make good
use of the twin tub.
Will the twin tub rust?
No, it is constructed from a double layer plastic shell and will
not rust.
What if I overfill the twin tub with
too much water?
Don’t panic, there is a built in overflow.
Do you supply the filler hose?
All new twin tubs are supplied with a rubber filler hose as standard.
